Wickham

I just want to get the views of true Norwich fans away from the prying eyes of Ippy fans. I personally feel he is good but over rated. He has a good touch and can finish well but hasn’t shown that nearly enough this season and definitely didn’t deserve young player of the season. Lansbury has looked far better and was well worth the prize. What do you guys think of him and his future?

He’s definitely over-rated. He has a little up in form and wins young player of the season award. Those awards don’t really make sense anyway as it’s not the end of the season yet! Wickham could go on to score seven own goals or something. He’s got some talent definitely – I’ll give him that. But Lansbury is a better player in my view. I can’t see him playing for a Man Utd or an Arsenal. But he could probably make it in the Prem, needs some work – remember there was all the hype about Chrissy Martin in his earlier years. Hasn’t quite lived up to that as yet. Guess its a case of wait and see.

I agree, but i still feel Chrissy has more in his game than Wickham. He is second to none with his finishing. Hope he gets back soon. If Wicks does go into the Prem it will probably be for one of the lesser clubs. Aston Villa or Bolton at best.

Agree with Chrissy having more to his game. I’d much rather have Chrissy Martin than Wickham. That’s not a Norwich bias thing, it’s based honestly on who I feel the better player is.

Same. Chrissy hold the ball up well, finds space, can beat players and has the finish to boot. He has been so unlucky not to get more goals this season and to then be injured or whatever is really unfortunate. Hope he gets back soon and shows our neighbours from down south how a real academy product plays!

i’m sure he’s going to be a good player… but ask me if i’d rather have him or super chrissy in my team and i’d take martin 10 times out of 10 ;)

Looks like you guys under-rate Wickham i went out with the U19′s to watch their championship in the summer and he was a cut above the rest, this was maybe down to his size but he finished his chances well. Seeing his goals on the Football League show this year has really made me believe that he will be an England player for years to come.
