I am very disappointed to hear that he will be out for at least 2 months. I thought we missed him terribly today as Lappin is not half as good as him.
Surman gives us quality in so many different ways, whether it is his set pieces, creativity, eye for a pass, excellent movement and superb link up play. We were missing his spark today.
Lappin, as much as I admire his attitude, is no replacement and it showed today. When he doesn’t know what to do, he will play an aimless floated ball down the line to the opposition. He also has no pace and lacks creativity which Surman has in abundance.
On the other hand, there is McNamee, a player who I rate and would love to see in the side. An exciting, natural winger with pace who is keen to run at defenders and had a hand in both goals today. The question is, will he have such an impact if he starts games?

I think that he would. When has he ever had a real decent run?
Give him a chance.
