No, like Tugger says, he’s had enough chances. And if one person could destroy the team ethic we have at the club it’d be Barton.

I can’t say I’m worried. Lambert’s already mentioned what a goldfish bowl Celtic is, not to mention the fact he is a very ambitious man. He understands that the English Premier League is a huge league, with some of the best teams in the world, and it is a stage he wants to show his mnagerial capabilities on.

I’ve no doubt he will leave us, but not yet, and not for Celtic. The Scottish leagues and in serious trouble. Our former chief executive is busy trying to save it from imploding – and if he makes as a good a job of it as he did Norwich City, they’re in real trouble.

So, all in all, I’m not worried about him leaving to head North.
