Encouraging to see that the Club seem fully committed to Academy development and that a decision re Grade 1 status is expected next month. We have also recruited some quality people to help the youngsters develop and signs of this are beginning to show with some promising players at under 18 and under 21 level.
Grade 1 will of course enable us to recruit from a much wider area eventually. Ironic therefore that we are being linked with a 14 yr old striker from Lincoln -presumable in the existing catchment area.He has apparently had trials with Man U and also attracting Spurs’ attention.
Does anyone else get the feeling we are moving in the right direction.?

Does anyone agree with me that these are a pain?

If your club team is starting to gain momentum ,it can be lost by the long gap between games, everthing goes flat in the meantime ,and there is the risk of players getting injured whilst on duty.I would like to see qualifying games played at the end of the season.
Friendly international matches are largely meaningless and players look for every excuse to withdraw from them.
Whats the point!

(All totally impractical I know but I feel better for saying it!)

Youth team last night

A lot to admire in the under 18 Academy side. Good control, pace and attitude evident all over the pitch which is a credit to our scouting team given the current restrictions on catchment areas etc,
A little more composure in front of goal would have given us the victory I thought we deserved.
Players who stood out for me were both full backs,Norman and Toffolo, Harry Barker (CB) Clunan and McGeechan (MF)
Loza and Hall-Johnstone worked their socks off up front and The Murphy twins have great potential as wide men. Keep it up lads!

I was surprised and disappointed to hear our fans directing this at a manager whose team had played us off the park for two thirds of the match and contributed to a cracking game. It left a nasty taste.I thought our fans were above all this. Maybe its what’s wrong with the game these days.

Now that’s what I’m talking about get in get the men you want and get them now show some intent .That is what I would have liked to have seen at Leeds hes team will be sorted out and training together in no time good on him hit the prem running .None of this boll-ocks about every ones on they Joelly’s we cannot talk to players or agents we will have to wait till July and see were we are.
