Why all the negativity?

After Saturday’s bore-draw City fans went nuts on Canary Call. What do they expect? This “poor” Fulham side was full of internationals including a Pemier League winners and a Champion’s League winner. We matched them and could have beaten them. And this without two key player..one of whom cost £400k..(part of my season ticket money!) and the other £3M. Lets get real. In the Prem we are the very poor relations. But we are still here. Reading, Southampton & Villa have to come here. These are the must win games. And if we do its 38points plus.
I know its not nice being the poor relation in a richman’s club…but at least we are in that club. Let’s support and not criticise.

A Long Season Ahead

I hate to sound negative but based upon what I saw against Borussia Monchengladbach we are in for a long, hard season.

First the positives:-

- Ruddy looked confident
- We passed the ball well and generally controlled the midfield
- Snodgrass and Turner look good signings
- a number of the players had good games
- for a large part of the game we matched a good side.

Now the negatives
- Holt was isolated
-we could have played to Christmas and wouldn’t have scored

And there in is my concern. I thnk we do need a new striker but I think even RVP would have struggled in this game.

A PL team would have been all over them like a swam of ants. The way CH sets the team up we will not create so many chances. we will get one or two a game and must take the few chance we have. this is where you need a top striker and unless we buy a bargain wecan’t afford one.

As I say….a long season

I was thinking. At 2:1 down we were quiet. At 3:1 down we got behind the boys and they responded. The last 15 mins were brilliant. Then Holty stood up to take the pen, the place went mad and then we let ourselves down by chanting “sacked in the morning”. I really do think that our positive support will be an influence on how long PL and crew stays. The man shows respect to everyone and makes league 1 players perform like Messi. With him it’s positive, positive, positive. We are good fans – I think in part that why Sky likes us. Carrow Road can be a brilliant place to be. Let’s make it a place where PL wants to be.

International call ups

According to the post match interviews Bradley Johnson and Marc Tierney are in line for international call ups. According to Wikipedia Johnson for England and Tierney has suddenly become Irish!! Just Bradley being considered shows what a good signing he has been. As for Tierney what a left back he has become!

At the beginning of the season the Yellow Man said how poor were were, how Grant Holt wouldn’t cut it, how Forest would teach us a footballing lesson etc. etc. Oh and Lambart sacked by Christmas.
