I played 7 a side football last night and not one player on either side is as slack and lackluster as him.

I cant really find too much praise for the rest of the chelsea team on this evidence either, however, luis stands out like a sore thumb.

He looks like a good sunday league player getting over cockey and massively out of his depth, i really am p****d off with this current load of tosh from f***ing high paid footballers!

P***ed off, they do something they love and they cant even do it well!

Yet as fans we put up with it, week in week out!

Sorry its my “im mad at the corrupt football world day”.

To get your hands on a Norwich City cashmere scarf simply enter your email address and name below.

We have been working with Jeremy Goss over the last few weeks helping to raise the local online presence of his Back to Bayern challenge.

We would like to give Jeremy’s Website a plugg to all you faithful members and would ask if you would be kind enough to donate even a very small amount (just a few £’s) to this great cause.

Working with Jeremy has been very refreshing and it is just great to see an ex footballer giving back to the community.

Jeremy is a really passionate person and very heart felt and committed to raising money for the NNAB.

The NNAB is a brilliant cause and if we can all just stop for a second and think of the difference a small donation can make, I’m sure we can help increase the funds raised for this great event.

Regards

I over heard a fella in a bar last week discussing ontheballcity.com and saying how amazing it was and how its the site for quality reading and writing about everything ncfc!

Personally that gave me a immense sense of satisfaction, we have taken an idea and turned it into probably the fastest growing NCFC forum in just 12 months!

I want to give a special thank you to Cory Varney for providing his match reports all season and also his brilliant recent article on Henri Lansbury, that has just been published on the Arsenal Fan’s Forum “Online Gooner”.

I have personally really enjoyed his reports and have no doubts that he is building an incredible portfolio on this site alone!

The bottom line although cliche and cheesy and believe me, i dislike cliche and cheesy, but I’m going to say it “this site wouldn’t be anything without the quality content that you guys provide on a daily basis”.

This site is your site, we want to develop features etc… in the future and we always welcome your thoughts.

Here is to a really exciting and what I believe will be a successful season ahead.

Supermarket Prodigy was soon on the case and produced the report below!

——————————

Hi there

The Gooner is the best selling Arsenal fanzine and its website, Online Gooner (www.onlinegooner.com), is one of the most popular unofficial fan websites with an average of over 10,000 unique visitors every day.

We are looking to run a series of articles on the website during the summer written by fans of clubs where Arsenal players were on loan last season, hence the reason we are contacting you.

Would you be able to write at least 500 words on your perception of Henri Lansbury at some stage over the next couple of weeks? We’ll then publish it on our website and give a plug to your fanzine\website.

What we’re looking for is a brief review of how the player did for you, their relationship with the fans, whether you think he’s got a chance of making it at Arsenal, whether you’d be interested in buying him permanently, etc.

Given that not many Arsenal fans will have seen the players in question in action, we also thought it would be useful if you were able to tell us a well known player who is similar in style.

Thanks in advance.

Mike Francis

Supermarket Prodigy Report

Henri Lansbury at Norwich City 2010/2011

Henri arrived at Carrow Road in November, ahead of the first East Anglian Derby of the season. He found himself handed a starting berth immediately, where he made an impresive debut, the highlight being an exquisite through-ball for Grant Holt to slam home a second for Norwich. Most City fans took to Lansbury from the off, he had a bite in the midfield, an aggression as well as a bundle of skill and passing talent. His trademark ‘Dougie’ celebration became popular amongst the Carrow Road faithful, leading to public performances from Henners at the End of Season dinner and Civic Reception. After a brief return to Arsenal, Lansbury’s loan was extended until the end of the season. February proved to be, arguably, his best month as a Canary, scoring 3 goals – including a priceless last gasp strike against Millwall, seeing the Canaries run out as 2-1 winners. He continued to impress as he rammed home against Reading, caping an impressive move to give City the lead. His next goal came at Elland Road, where the ‘Dougie’ had its first outing as Lansbury drew the Canaries level. Despite a positive start to his City career, Lansbury’s performances began to falter slightly, seeing him dropped to the subs bench. He found opportunities limited, though did impress when introduced. He again struck late on as Bristol City came to Carrow Road, sparking a terrific late show for City to claim a 3-1 victory and catapult themselves into second. With Norwich looking good value for promotion, Lansbury found first-team opportunities consistently hard to come by. Although, he ran the midfield when coming on against Scunthorpe United in a 6-0 thumping. It was a productive loan spell for the 20 year old, scoring 4 goals in 23 games and taking home a runners-up medal.

Although he looked impressive, arguably Lansbury would not appear to be a regular Arsenal starter. If he was awash with such quality, it’s fair to say he would have stood out like a Baboon’s backside in a field of snow. Another key indicator would be the way he struggled to hold down a starting place, particularly during the latter months of the season. If he was to have a promising future at Arsenal, it’s clear he would have been a regular starter and made a continious impact during proceedings. It could be argued he has the talent, though needs to be nurtured. Henri would not be ready to slide straight into the Arsenal starting eleven, another loan spell at a fellow Premiership club may be a better course of action for Lansbury. He has looked good in the Championship, though is yet to be tested in the Premiership – the potential is there, though whether Lansbury can reach it is another question. But recent interviews indicate he wants assurances of an Arsenal future or he’ll be seeking employment at another club. There are many fans at City, who would be delighted to see Lambert parading Lansbury as one of his new signings this Summer, it’s over to Mr. Wenger to decide the part Henri is to play.

Sort of like a late kick off based around Norwich City FC, there would be around 170 tickets available and we would be offering them firstly to all current members!

It would take place at Epic studios in Magdalen Street Norwich.

We would be seeking anyone confident or with experience on hosting or interviewing as the host of the show!

We would then air the show on this site!

Just an idea that could well go ahead this summer, what do you think?

Any ideas for the show please post or get in touch with us.

Volkes? suffice to say Leeds fans were wetting themselves laughing over us getting him, and as he was on loan there they should know.

Now take CMS at Posh, proven striker, score goals for fun, so what do we do? try to haggle and get him on the cheap, thats what, and what happened?….

Its obvious to me that Delia, now backed by her celebrity pal Fry, holds the real power in the boardroom again, son of Prudence returns.

This penny pinching will bite us in the bum, believe me.

Things got better for City just before the hour as Ruddy’s long kick found Wilbraham who fired home.
We had been asked earlier to add a private messaging service to the forum, the guys have stayed back this evening to make this new feature happen!

Test it out and tell us if there are any flaws or errors, we will make it look at little prettier in the coming weeks, but for now enjoy!

Simply locate the link on the right hand menu titled “My Private Messages”

If you want to buy the guys a coffee then please do so, we run this site as a non profit project but its always nice to receive a little thanks in the form of a coffee.

Question 1 – What was your highlight of your time when at Norwich City?

Asmat: when i scored the winner against Burnly in F.A. Youth Cup, in my first apperenca for Norwich City.

Question 2 – What’s the best thing about having a career as a footballer?

Asmat: That you are able to do what you love everyday as a (job)

Question 3 – What’s your favourite career goal?

Asmat: To play in spain, as i love their way of playing the game

Question 4 – What has happened since you left Norwich?

Asmat: I moved back to denmark, after trying my luck in Italy. I played for Hvidovre (2.division, then 1.division) when i came back, followed by a year long injury, to then play for Greve IF (2. division), where im still at.

Question 5 – What do you like to do outside of football?

Asmat: I like to study. I appreciate the ability to expand our mind, and develop.

Question 6 – Who was your footballing idol? Who did you look up to?

Asmat: Diego Maradona and Zidane

Question 7 – What’s the worst thing about having a career in football?

Asmat: That your life is limited, in what you want to do and when you want to do it. That is a result of the huge amount of time and focus professionel footbal demands.

Question 8 – Where do you think Norwich City will finish this season?

Asmat: I really dont know. I must admit that i have not followed the team since i left, but nevertheless i hope they will go on and do really well.

Hi all.

Here at ontheballcity.com we love new ideas, one of our developers has suggested an ontheballcity.com charity football match…and we quite like the idea!

We would probably look to hold this event after xmas, whether you would like to play or nominate people to play, all levels of ability are welcome with the theme being a friendly game of charity football. (Over 18′s Only)

At the moment we have nothing set in stone so we would gladly welcome any thoughts or anybody that would like to help out. Including signed NCFC merchandise, pitch hire, kit, sponsorship, etc…

In due course we will add a download link in the members area to download a sponsor sheet!

Regards

OTBC Team!
