Possibly the most Irrelevant defeat ever…

Well, 6 days on from our visit to Manchester’s finest, does it actually feel like we lost our last game 5-1? Absolutely not, Its been quite amazing this week really, I’ve never known such a calm and none worrying reaction to any Norwich City game or any Football game since I’ve been alive for that matter where a team has been so comfortably outplayed and beaten by a 5-1 scoreline as we were at Manchester City on Saturday.

It makes me quite proud really, knowing that Norwich City fans are looking at reality and understanding that an expected 5-1 defeat at the best team in the country is nothing to worry about. We didn’t disgrace ourselves, we could of gone 1-0 up,and 4 of the 5 goals were superb and we couldn’t of stopped them.

The most positive thing you can take away is that We are 14 games in, and we have already made trips to Stamford Bridge,Old Trafford, Anfield and the Etihad, also hosted Arsenal at Carrow Road, and we find ourselves in the absolutely amazing position of 11th with only a minus 6 goal difference, The 3rd best i the Bottom half and alot better than the current bottom 3.

It wasn’t until this weekend in our last Premier League campaign when we got our 2nd win, and we already have 4 this season. The position we find ourselves in is absolutely fantastic.

We find ourselves with now 3 games starting tomorrow up until Christmas where hopefully we can further add to our great points tally, they are not easy games, well none are easy, but they are a run of 3 games with no daunting trips to any big clubs and all 3 are winnable.

They of course start tomorrow with the visit of Newcastle United to Carrow Road, which is a really interesting one. Newcastle up until the last 3 games were the surprise of the season, full of confidence, fling high and surprising everyone, 3 weeks ago, no one would of given us a preyer of getting a point. Now they go and only take 1 point from 3 games and everyone gives us a chance of winning, people seem to forget their 3 games were against Man City, Man United and Chelsea. The good news for us was the defensive injuries Newcastle received last weekend, they might be the silver lining in the cloud that helps us get a result tomorrow.

Newcastle are not a team to underestimate, I don’t know what everyone else thinks but if we add a point or three to our tally tomorrow, I will have a smile on my face.
