One of the most Satisfying days ever as an NCFC Fan

Just how satisfying was Monday? Incredibly its still getting more and more satisfying as the hours and days pass since the final whistle went. In brief, we came from behind to win in QPR’s Own back yard and their most disliked player was red carded and since lost an appeal against the decision, Smiles all round folks!

I’ll go back to that in more detail shortly, but our New Year weekend actually began with that Home game against Fulham 6 days ago, which seems quite a long way back now. After much winging by fickle fans after a disappointing first half which saw us go in at the break a goal down, The lads did brilliant second half, played some really nice football and tried their best to break down a really well set up Fulham side.

Incredibly, the lads did it Our way… “The Norwich City Way” Elliott Bennett cross, Simeon Jackson header into the net, 95th minute leveler to make it 1-1 and get us a hard earned point. It was a fabulous way to end the year.

Back to Monday, Wow! Incredible! Have we smiled more than we did on Monday? It had everything, We won, We came from a losing position to get the win, It was in QPR’s own back yard. Barton got sent off and has been ranting all week on Twitter and Warnock has been wound up by it all as well :D Mega!!!! :D It has to be our favourite win of the season so far because of all the factors I mentioned, because of QPR’s reaction, you could describe the day as Hilariously brilliant!

I won’t go into great detail about Barton’s red card, he can keep on doing that on Twitter, he’s entertaining enough, comedy gold in fact. I thought his goal was a a nice finish to put them 1-0 up, but when he got sent off YES! brilliant! we’re back in business I thought, Whatever people say it was a Red Card, he intended to head butt Johnson, he deserved the red card, if he just kept his toys in the pram and didn’t go near Bradley, he would of been in no danger of getting sent off.

We did brilliantly to come back and win, tremendous goal by Pilkington to level the scores and make us go in at half time at 1-1.

The second half began with quite intense QPR pressure even though we only had 10 men, and we did a wonderful job keeping them out. Then we turned the tables around, we gave everything towards the end of the game to try and win it, Paul Lambert made a great triple change which ended up working an absolute treat when Steve Morison scored a late winner to send the away end into party mode and get us all 3 points on the road.

It was a great win, our first this season when we have come from behind to achieve it, which was fabulous.

9th in the League is brilliant for us at this stage, A full 9 points clear of the bottom 3. We have a fabulous chance of being in this league again next year, lets hope the lads can achieve that target.

Tomorrow we turn our thoughts to the Fa Cup 3rd Round tie at Carrow Road against Burnley, 22,000 tickets already sold by the way, fantastic support we have! The question everyones lips is…

Will we take it seriously this year?

I’ll be back next Friday to reflect on whatever the outcome.

ON THE BALL CITY!!!!!!!!!!
