I heard some shakey reports of his performance against Kings Lynn the other night, what part will he play this season?

I think he will be a squad player this year. His playing time will be limited, as in my opinion he is fourth choice. However he could play an important role if, or more likely when, injuries and suspensions take place.

Ok well surely Nelson is a squad player too? Would you agree with that?

hes a good first division player .

he is too slow ,come up against a team with quick forwards..then we have problems, and the likely-hood of that in the championship is fairly high .

I think Nelson is dreadful to be honest, whenever I look at his face it makes me angry!

When I see him make an attempt to 5pass (which in his case means clear or hoof) the ball a 50p piece appears in my head!

Mr 2 left feet 50p man!

Apparently his wife is due to give birth at anytime, so this is the reason why he has stayed in England. He has a future at NCFC.

Nelson is also at best a squad player. Hopefully Ward and Whitbread will remain fit for the majority of the season, because I do not think that either Askou or Nelson are good enough for the Chmapionship.

agree with that .

he is far too clumsy for this level .

i think he will cost us a few goals if he is a regular .

i know he has improved over the season ,but colchester ran rings round him on the first day of the season .

we will play quicker teams than colchester ,that worries me with the doc gone .

That worries me too, particularly with the fact that neither of our full backs are quick, and wouldn’t be able to provide cover. Pace is something we definately do lack in not only the starting line up, but the squad as well.

Arthur Askou has been born! Panic over! Nelson isn’t favoured more than Askou!

I think they could both cope with the aerial threat (Askou can head the ball miles) so if they came in to partner Zac or Ward they’d take the big man, leaving PL’s favoured pair to cope with the pace. Not ideal I know but if we had all the bases covered we’d be in the Prem………..

first choice partnership against Watford imo will be ward and nelson. Whitbread has done nothing yet to earn the shirt, and has been outshone by Nelson when the two have played together. I really rated Askou at the start of last season but it will take time after hislong injury layoff for him to return to a sustained level of fitness.

Lordnelson you must be on a wind up?

Nelson is rubbish, m
Mr 50 pence foot? He is a total and utter joke, so what that he had 5-6 decent games at the end of the season, doesn’t account for the fact that he will get mullered in this league!

People harp on about the difference between championship and League one, i dont think it is a mile apart.

It is a fact that mistakes will be punished more often than not the higher up the leagues you go, so consistency coupled with quality is key, hence Nelson very much struggling to get in the team this season.

Lambert can not seriously start with him!
