Hopes for Transfers under Hughton
It’s been a while since I have been on here so I thought I’d do a little bit of catch up on the transfer rumours under new manager Hughton.
First up, Holt getting his contract debate sorted is brilliant news. No man is bigger than the club and all that, but he has been so integral to our rise that it’d be hard to imagine the Norwich line up with out him about. Glad he has stayed on and I hope he only gets better with age.
Next up, Hughton’s 2 signings. I’ve heard a lot about Butterfield but can’t recall seeing him play. Highly rated and wanted by many other clubs in the Prem. A good catch in my opinion and decent cover for Wes on the point of the diamond, if we continue with that system.
As for Whittaker, I know he has been good at Rangers and is experienced across the defence. Good player to have as we really need to tighten up our back line. Whether he will get straight in the team ahead of the likes of Russ, Tierny, etc. is yet to be seen but a solid addition all the same.
As for players I’d like to see come in, Curtis Davis would obviously be good. A decent, strong, level headed defender who has played under Hughton so would fit in nicely.
Another player always on the rumour mill for us is Snodgrass. I would love to see him come here, if only to annoy Leeds fans even more! He is undoubtedly a good player and would add that incisiveness to our team, but I don’t know if he is better than the likes of Pilks or Benno. Up to Hughton to decide I guess.
Any other players you guys would like to see come in? Need to get some more traffic going through here again. It’s been a while!
