Kyle Naughton excluded(only a loan) the signing we’ve made have generally been below standard. De Laet is an decent championship level player, Vaughan was only a little better than average at palace last year, Johnson and Morrison are good players are definately not going to be able to handle the premier league.
I said some months ago that we should have been targeting young players at the big clubs who were looking to move away. e.g welbeck,gibson,spearing, rose etc. I hoped that we would’ve signed a few more players with PL experience.
To be honest it just looks like we’re building a team for the championship after we’re relegated. Hope this defeatist attitude doesn’t spread around the players as they see players brought in who are on the same level as themselves.

I wouldn’t read to much into performances and results right now. nobody is going to go 100% at moment as they want to get fit but not injured before the season starts.
Give it 10 games and then we will see!
