Chelsea’s visit gave us everything bar a Goal!

Our 0-0 draw at Carrow Road last Saturday against Chelsea was quite simply brilliant! It had everything, A
roaring atmosphere, great away following, chances galore, great saves, great blocks, great battles all over the pitch and it was played in a great spirit by both teams, all that was missing was a goal, but from a Norwich City point of view, we were delighted we saw no goals.
It was quite incredible how there wasn’t a goal scored, Yes Chelsea had the majority of chances but Grant Holt carved open the Blues back line early on an on another day would of put us a goal in front.
Chelsea played some great stuff right through the game, but we expected that, Their passing was top quality, and they would of been devastated they wern’t able to score. It wasn’t all down to Chelsea missing though, they were at Carrow Road on a day when John Ruddy and Zak Whitbread were in inspired form, They did everything, blocked shots, cleared balls, everything in their power to stop the Blues finding the net. It was most satisfying seeing all the big value Chelsea players missing opportunities, and the longer the game went on you knew it was going to be our day. It was a superb point! a Bonus point like the one we collected at Anfield. 8 points from 4 games in the Premier League, we are on a nice little run in this present moment. 9th place on 29 points is incredible to find ourselves in, we are not safe, there is still work to do and we need to focus on getting to the 40 point mark as soon as possible.
We now face a busy few days on the road, Tomorrow we are back at the Hawthorns just two weeks after our league win their for an Fa Cup 4th round encounter with the Baggies, then we are off to Sunderland on Wednesday night for our latest Barclays Premier League game in front of the Sky Sports Cameras.
You could make a case for any outcome in both those games, they are impossible to predict. If we come through this week still in the Fa Cup and if we add a point or three to our Premier League tally, it will be quite an amazing few days for us.
Have a good one!

Darrell, great blog as usual. I need to talk to you about Canary Central blogging. Clearly I have done something to upset you and am trying to contact you through the Hardesty’s. You are a great friend and am sincerly gutted that I have done something. If you don’t want to talk, at least reply letting me know what I did to upset you. If not, I will keep attempting to contact you and will post threads on here whether it annoys people. You are a good friend and I want to keep it that way. Please Dazza
