Apparently he is on trial with us. Not sure for how long.

From his Wiki Page:
Aleksandr Kokko (born June 4, 1987 in Leningrad) is a Soviet Union-born Finnish footballer who plays as a striker. He represents FC PoPa in the Ykkönen, second tier of Finnish football.
Kokko made his first appearance in the Finnish top flight at the age of 17 with FC Jazz. He joined FC Honka before the 2007 season and made six appearances for the club during his first season. On May 5, 2008 he scored a hat-trick when FC Honka beat FC Haka in a league match by the scoreline of 7 – 0. Those were his first goals in the Finnish Premier Division. Kokko was the top goalscorer in the 2008 season of Veikkausliiga with 13 goals.
In August 2010 Kokko was loaned to FC PoPa.
Kokko made his debut for the Finnish national under-21 team on August 20, 2008 in a match against Sweden.[1]
In January 2009, IS Veikkaaja told that Real Betis was planning to make a loan offer for Kokko.

Scores the last goal in this video clip, also sets up the 8th goal with a nice ball over his head. Involved with the sending off too with some good control.

Seen a few clips of him, he looks good. Gets in the right positions for goals and has a nice touch. Could be handy.

He doesn’t seem to be much of a goalscorer. Can we afford another Wilbraham?

Although he is still young and we could develop him.

As much as I like Cody and Oli, I think they will get moved on in the summer. I hope I am wrong as I would like to see them given a chance.

Is he definitely on trial with us or is it just a rumour at the moment?

Not sure this is the type of player we should be looking for at this stage of the season. An experienced head, still with the passion for the game would be ideal but where to look?

He would probably need a lot of acclimatisation considering his background. Not an instant answer, I suspect but worth a try.

Apparently he is a Russian born Finn and is called Boris by his team-mates.

Some wag on the “PinkUn” has already labeeled him “Kokko the Clown.”

At least it’s never boring under Lambert.

Do we want another Strihavka (if that’s spelt right)?
At this stage, I would rather we stayed closer to home than take a punt on someone who has not played in the English leagues.

Strihavka might well have come good. He showed some good touches and clearly was no dudd. It was just the wrong place, wrong manager, wrong time etc. etc.

He stood no chance of succeeding in a foreign land with all those other things going on.

This chap arrives into a far more settled environment.

Would get right behind him, Lambo like signing – a bit out of the blue, bit unknown – reckon he could be a rough diamond. Might be a quality buy.
