A truly great Carrow Road occasion

Last Saturday was amazing, We of course beat Newcastle United 4-2 at Carrow Road in our latest Barclays Premier League game, but it was more than that, It was a truly special day which had just about everything.

I loved 3pm kick offs at this time of year, They start in total daylight and darkness covers the place gradually during the course of the game, and when you come out, its total darkness. It adds to the atmosphere, and the game looks great under the lights. Saturday followed this pattern, Us the fans played our part in creating a great atmosphere inside Carrow Road on Saturday.

You have to admire Paul Lambert, Holt, Hoolahan and Morison all started, attacking or what, pretty confident selections, you couldn’t of questioned it though, as always with Lambert, It worked an absolute treat.

It was great, we came out right from the off and went at a weakened Newcastle defence, we played good football and managed to get in amongst them on numerous occasion’s. We got our reward of course via a fortunate decision, Tim Krul I thought carried it behind when I was in the ground, however now i’m happy to say he caught it behind the line. We get things go against us, so delighted we got this decision. Hoolahan of course bundled it over the line and we led. Fantastic!

It would of been great to be leading at Half Time, However Ba finished a great goal from a great pass to level the scores at the break.

You could of foregiven any team for folding in the second half after letting an equaliser in late in the first half, however we are Norwich City and we don’t follow normality really.

The second half was superb, Great display by us, 3 headed goals, incredible! They were all superbly taken as well. Yes people could say we were helped by the Newcastle Red Card, especially to help us clinch it with the goal to make it 4-2 after Newcastle got one back, but in all honesty we were the better team right through the game I thought and it was great to see.

One thing that amazes me however is, how can anyone moan about us not having kept a clean sheet so far? Yes I agree its not great, but we are 10th in the League on 19 points after only 15 games, Incredible! Yes by all means moan about no clean sheets if we were in the bottom 3, but where we are is remarkable even more remarkable that we haven’t kept a clean sheet and we are still 10th.

What will happen is, The clean sheet will come when we all least expect it. Spurs at Home Folks.. You heard it here first :)

Festive Football period starts tomorrow then, Two away games in a few days for us, Everton tomorrow then Wolves on Tuesday night. Any points from those would be most welcome.

ON THE BALL CITY!!!!!!!!!!
